Working it's way in from Hillsboro, OR, Vancouver, WA, and east Portland, Get Space is now headed to downtown Portland with a new 130,000 sf facility. The project, located at 2211 NW York Street, will compliment recent developments in the area known as "Slabtown", including the kitty-corner New York recently completed, the Con-way redevelopment with New Seasons Market Slabtown, and several new multi-family projects along the waterfront and Pearl District.
"Get Space is about bringing better storage. And this new development, that we call 'PORK', similar to our other projects, is going to be perfectly situated," said Daniel Lyman, Co-Founder & Principal of Get Space. "There is so much to love about downtown Portland, from the food, rivers and bridges, and major redevelopment, but what it lacks is good storage. That's where Get Space comes in."

Since the company started building in 2014, Get Space has finished two facilities, has two under construction, and is preparing at least seven for construction next year. "When we started, we knew we wanted to come at it in a big way! Portland had everything we were looking for, so we planned on bringing 10-15 facilities to the area within two years. So far we're on track," Lyman said. "Get ready downtown Portland, better storage is coming!"

Get Space believes that self storage doesn't have to be complicated. While self storage is inherently built around utility, Get Space mixes it with a little simplicity and beauty to achieve amazing results. Focused in the Pacific Northwest initially, Get Space is developing multiple new facilities with a systematic development approach not seen in self storage development before.
