For all the reasons dense Portland is awesome, having basements or any home storage space for that matter, aren't reasons why. While a few self storage facilities exist east of the Willamette River, most of them are nearly 20 years old, which is why Get Space has begun renovation work on what will literally be the nicest, cleanest facility in NE Portland.
The facility, located at the current address of 1645 NE 72nd Avenue, is an existing concrete warehouse originally built in 1971. Most recently the warehouse was used by Joint Way International, a manufacturer and supplier of power transmission products. Get Space's design will fully maintain the exterior structure and build 64,800 SF of storage internally.
Slated for completion early 2016, Get Space is preparing to bring better storage to the NE Portland areas of Laurelhurst, Montavilla, Hollywood, Madison South, and Roseway, among others. You'll soon recognize the building on I-84 by it's pop of color.
